The Training Association of the Austrian Paper Industry - Schulverein der Österreichischen Papierindustrie

Founded in 1957, the Training Association is the legal entity of the Steyrermühl Training Centre (ABZ) in Upper Austria. It is financed by the paper industry as a private school, open to the public, and responsible for adult and continuing education.

The ABZ, which began as a “training corner” in the Steyrermühl paper mill in 1938, is now one of the European paper industry’s most modern training centres.

The ABZ offers numerous possibilities for training and continuing education, including mastercrafmen’s training, a long distance course in paper engineering, training courses in plant engineering and power engineering as well as numerous other seminars.
