Austropapier represents the companies of the Austrian paper industry. Annually its 27 members produce more than five millions tonnes of paper, card and board, directly providing almost 10,000 jobs and contributing to maintaining the income of hundreds of thousands of other workers in the domestic forestry and wood-based industries as well as the paper and board processing industries and the printing and graphics sectors.
Paper is a material we encounter every day in many important products. The use of the renewable raw materials of wood and waste paper, the recycling of residues as raw materials, the extremely high energy efficiency of our facilities and the enormous investments we make towards improving the environment are among the mainstays of sustainable business.
